The Museum Education Service has an exciting programme of workshops for EYFS, KS1 & 2. These hands-on workshops are aimed at enhancing your pupils’ learning outside the classroom. In 2009 the Museum was awarded the ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ Quality award.
Our workshops include gallery visits, object handling, costume, role play, art/crafts and much more!
We also offer an extensive loan service of over 20 themes which include real and replica artefacts from around the world.
We can arrange for an outreach visit to your setting. Our workshops support various themes that our permanent galleries do not cover, from seaside holidays in the past to World War 2.
